Jon. Jon was an IT guy by day, and an endurance runner by night. These two characteristics helped enforce Jon’s belief that he was better than you. Every conversation you had with Jon would be turned in one of two directions: his knowledge of computer systems or his prolific endurance running. Jon offered perspectives. Every conversation included the quotes “from an IT perspective” or “from a running perspective” or whatever you happened to be talking about at the time. Every morning after a race, Jon would let you know how it went and how sore he was from it. The clink-clank of the running medals he was most certainly wearing to work could be heard as he sauntered over to your desk. Clink….clank…here comes Jon with his medals on, poised to reaffirm how much better he is than you
